The band did a show at the Crescent Cafe with the legendary Son's Of Sanchez. Then they performed at the Red Iguana on Wednesday and Thursday. More to come!
On Super bowl Sunday, John was invited to Anthony Wellington's studio for Uncle Jimmy's (Jimmy Mayer's) rehearsal. Who is Uncle Jimmy you ask? He is the bass player for the infamous, Coral Reefers, Jimmy Buffet's band! What a great guy. His band, including Anthony, was rehearsing for a taping of a show at XM radio scheduled the next day. John was also invited to XM radio studios to help at the show. While John was there, he met some folks that will help get airplay for John's new country music CD coming out in May. John also met some great musicians that are in Jimmy's band. Such as NADIRAH SHAKOOR she has had an amazing career. She was the lead female vocalist for Arrested Development and is a Member of the famous Coral Reefers also. Her list goes on and on... Over the past couple of months, John has been hard at work on the new CD. There have been a few bumps in the road. Such as a recent change of residence. His main studio had to be disassembled and reassembled. All the while he is writing and traveling to Nashville. Wait till you hear his new music!!! While in Nashville, John found a really cool place to show his wares called The Crescent Cafe. On Sunday's they have an open mic night hosted by Clint Woolsey and his band The Shakes. The Shakes are comprised of Adam Groniger and Marcus Brown. While John performed there, he met and performed with a slew of great musicians and songwriters. Clint Woolsey, Tony Phillips (who just showcased for a bunch of major record labels and is represented by The Erv Woolsey Agency) and Mark Collie (singer, songwriter actor). John was there when Tony Phillips did his showcase. John met Mary Sue Englund, she performed with Tony as the keyboardist but her full time gig is Pam Tillis' mandolin/guitar/backing vocalist. She is also an amazing singer. Her Husband Mike played guitar for Tony. Now that John has his studio back up and running he is ready to write with Clint and Tony. That is if they can stay off the road long enough... John's management is working on a new website. It'll be here real soon! More to come... stay tuned................

The trip to Los Angeles was a success. The show went great. Anthony and John funked them all up, Mike tore the guitar up and Dwayne, "of course", kept that deep pocket .. pa-dunk-ka-dunk at the NAMM show performance. Corey Britz, rode to the show with John and Beth. He was the default tour guide "since he lives in Hollywood". Throughout the week, John was hanging out with Corey and Justin from the Calling. Then one night Corey wanted to go record some new tunes. So John, Beth, Justin and Matt went out on the town. The Viper Room, The Whiskey, The Roxy and The Rainbow Room. Then, check this out! They were eating sushi at Iroha one night and ran into Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters! There were a lot of stars out... P. Diddy, Reece Witherspoon, Selma Hayek to name a few. It was 80 and sunny the whole time. What a trip! See pics!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! John performed with Fatskeys on New Years Eve at Sweet Caroline's to a packed house. (click here to see video) What a great time. Aileen Rose was the DD for the evening. John and his wife Beth brought their dog Bear with them. He didn't like the long car ride... he got sick 3 times ... on Aileen and her Jeff Gordon (#24) jacket. (see pic of Bear) I don't think Bear likes Jeff Gordon. Corey Britz was in Town and came to the show. It was a night to remember. Please check back for news about John's new venture.
